CITIZEN Overture Center (Madison, Wisconsin)

The Brooklyn-based dance company draws from the spiritual and mundane traditions of Africa and its diaspora, and takes its name from the distinctive worship practices of enslaved Africans in the Americas. Choreographer and artistic director Reggie Wilson creates work that displays rigor, structure and craft in a postmodern dance vernacular.
